Every little thing is gonna be alright

No idea what I was worrying about, this trip is squarely within my comfort zone. I knew that, I just got spooked. My biggest issue has been the astonishing number of hikers on trail. The first two days, my route overlapped with the world beloved Tour de Mont Blanc, and there were, for realz, hundreds of people. It always feels hypocritical to complain about this. I'm there too. But no question, it takes away a lot of the charm.

The last three days have been way better. good weather, gorgeous views, friendly company in the huts.

Tomorrow looks good, but then there's weather coming . . .

This morning, I got an early start, and just below the pass, found myself face to face with this handsome fellow. It was not at all clear that he was going to let me by.

He obligingly turned his head this way, then that, demonstrated how useful horns can be to scratch your butt, and sauntered off the trail. The illusive ibex!

Tonight I am in a mountain hut again, group living at it's best and worst. WiFi is on only for a few minutes, so I'll send this off. More details soon!
